Description

This is the software for the Speakerbus iWS. It provides hosting for the ARIA Click, ARIA Touch, ARIA Hoot and AYRE web applications from which, browser based, deskstation devices can be used. These release notes provide important information about the iWS software.

System Requirements

Web Server

Supported Operating Systems

Microsoft Windows Server 2016.
Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
Microsoft Windows Server 2022.
Microsoft Windows Server 2025.

The latest service pack is always recommended for all operating systems.

Installation of iWS software on a domain controller is not supported.

System Requirements

Microsoft IIS 10 - Requires the ASP.NET 4.6 (or higher) Application Development to be installed.
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 is required for the installation of the iWS software.
Microsoft ASP.NET Core Runtime 8.0 with hosting bundle.
NTFS file system - The iWS will only work fully on an NTFS file system. FAT file systems are NOT supported.
HTML reader, e.g. Internet Explorer (for release documentation).
Installation program requires administrative privileges.
For hardware requirements, please refer to the system requirements for the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft IIS web server this is being installed on.

Web Application

A WebRTC capable web browser:
- Google Chrome. Recommended browser.
- Microsoft Edge. Recommended browser.
- Mozilla Firefox.
- Safari v14 (or above). Experimental support only.
JavaScript MUST be enabled.
ARIA Click - Minimum screen resolution of 1366x768 (1920x1080 is highly recommended).
ARIA Touch - Minimum screen resolution of 1024x600. (1280x800 or above is highly recommended).
ARIA Hoot - Minimum screen resolution of 490x370. (640x534 or above is highly recommended).

IP Port Numbers

The IP ports used by the iWS software:

443 (or 80 for non-secure)	HTTPS & HTTP (TCP/IP)	Port number is specified or inferred in the browser URL.	Blocking will stop access to the ARIA Click, ARIA Touch, ARIA Hoot and AYRE web applications.
